As a producer/dj Syren works with both dubstep & house, but he has taken us on a deep dark dubstep affair for his Off The Record mix. Taking us back to where dubstep began Syren's mix delivers tightly coiled productions with overwhelming basslines, reverberant drum patterns, clipped samples, and occasional vocals. Keeping things minimal his selection & style of mixing blend together to create a near meditative sound, that said move it to a club and this would have a dancefloor skanking until dawn.

This mix is a brilliant glimpse into the underground electronic music scene in India in which Skeef is playing a very progressive part. A producer & dj Skeef meddles in everything house/techno/tech-house/nu-disco/dubstep/electro/glitch-hop. For this Off The Record mix he's combined a selection of dubstep, electro & trap into a party style glitch-step affair. Kicking the set off with one of his own quality productions he then delves into a fast paced mix of wobbly sounds & sub-heavy beats. We're delighted to have this unique vibe from an international dj take it's place amongst the series and look forward to hearing more from Skeef in the future.

This eclectic selection he's put together has everything from world rhythms to bass-heavy glitchy electronica. Drawing in influences from the worlds of dub, blues, reggae, post-rock, electro, techno and house, Oisin's blends these styles together to create a funky dubbed out glitchy electronica masterpiece. Lately he has been moving into the world of IDM too and this newly found influence is already evident in this mix. Delivering a fresh perspective into the sounds of future funk, Oisin is definitely one to watch out for!

Taking us on a journey through the vast sounds of house music, this week we welcome Darren Doherty to the series. Never one to stick to any particular kind of genre Darren's sets are known for going wherever the crowd wants to be taken. Suitabley for his OTR mix he has created a beautiful soundscape of elegant percussion, funky synths and energetic basslines. The mix maintains a solid momentum while taking in all spectrums of house music, including tech, tribal, funky and deep (and an exclusive Kronecker Delta track due for release soon). Years of experience dj'ing & producing are clearly evident in this superbly mixed piece.

Tivo's style of djing is about two main things, juxtaposition & flow. He layers totally different styles of music together while maintaining the groove and always keeping things interesting. Literally mixing up everything from traditional Irish to dubstep, African riddims to trip-hop! This unique piece was amazingly put together using all vinyl records along with delay & distortion pedals to get some extra life from the really old presses. Tivo's eclectic taste in music & talent for mixing shine through in this sometimes wacky, but always mind-blowing mixtape. No words can really describe the sound he's patched together, so just hit play!
